The PTI-BB50NMP-W from NexTek are Coaxial RF Surge Protectors that operate from 1.5 to 1000 MHz. They can handle an input power of up to 2 kW, a surge current of 50 kA, and have a turn-on time of 2.5 ns. These 50-ohm surge protectors have an insertion loss of 0.1 dB and a VSWR of 1.10:1. They have a turn-on DC voltage of 600 V and a rated impulse discharge current of 20 kA. These surge protectors incorporate a blocking capacitor and gas discharge tube (GDT) to provide isolation and maximum RF power handling. The surge protectors are available in a waterproof IP67-rated package with N-type male/female connectors and these are suitable for HF, UHF, and VHF radios, amateur (HAM) radios, remote industrial monitoring, and SCADA applications.
