QWP-DMDF-ER Image

The QWP-DMDF-ER from PolyPhaser is a Low PIM, Quarter Wave Surge Protector that operates from 555 to 4500 MHz. It can handle a CW input power of up to 200 W and a surge current of 50 kA. This 50-ohm surge protector has an insertion loss of less than 0.1 dB and Passive Intermodulation (PIM) distortion of better than -160 dBc. It utilizes a quarter-wave stub design to protect critical hardware while maintaining the RF performance. This quarter-wave surge protector is particularly useful for protecting the electrical equipment from electromagnetic pulse (EMP) or power surges that are commonly caused by lightning or other strong electrical changes.

The QWP-DMDF-ER has a DC block topology that offers repetitive strike protection. It is available in a module that measures 2.80 x 0.98 x 1.47 inches with 7/16 DIN male and female connectors and is ideal for CBRS networks, cellular systems, distributed antenna systems (DAS), and emergency response systems, and public safety systems applications.
