The HR-CTX Series from Smiths Interconnect are Chip Terminations that operate from DC to 64 GHz. They can handle up to 5 W of power and are available in a small 0404 package. Their small footprint allows customers to save space and weight on the board, while the total thin-film design optimized on Aluminum Nitride offers a high power dissipation. These lightweight and very compact terminations ensure optimized return loss for multiple frequency bands and a wide array of applications.
The terminations are space-qualified as per MIL-PRF-55342 to ensure long-term Hi-Reliability. They are available in an Aluminum Nitride package that measures 0.040" x 0.040" x 0.015" and are suitable for use in amplifier circuits, isolators, transmit/receive modules, up/down converters, instrumentation, satellite communications, radar, and broadcast applications.
