The SpaceNXT HC Series from Smiths Interconnect are Outrigger Terminations that operate from DC to 27 GHz. They are specifically designed and tested to meet space orbit environmental criteria. These terminations use a patented layout to offer improved power handling over conventional surface mount solutions without compromising performance. They are designed using a robust thick film process technology and are screened based on the MIL-PRF-55342 standard to ensure long-term reliability. These terminations have resistance values from 10 to 500-ohm with tolerances of ±5 % (standard).

The SpaceNXT HC Series are available in surface mount (chip-scale) packages with solderable outrigger pads to dissipate approximately 50% more power than conventional flip-chip solutions. These space-qualified RF terminations are ideal for use in amplifier circuits, transmit/receive modules, up/down converters, instrumentation, radar, and broadcast applications.
