The ZL70551 from Microchip Technology is an ultra-low power transceiver that operates from 779 MHz to 965 MHz.It consumes only 2.8 mA while transmitting at -11dBm output power and consumes 2.4 mA during reception. The transceiver has a sleep state current of 500 nA, making it ideal for low-duty cycle applications. It requires a supply voltage from 1.2 - 1.9 V and supports data rates up to 186 kbps. This highly integrated transceiver is available in a very small 3x2 mm chip scale package.
It is well-suited for wireless applications operating on coin-cell batteries or energy harvesters, such as electronic shelf labels, retail asset tracking, process control, wearable monitoring, medical diagnostics and ECG equipment.
