The TMC178169252 from mmTron is an IF to antenna transceiver solution that operates from 25 to 29 GHz. It has an IF frequency range from 5 to 7 GHz and an LO frequency of 6 to 8 GHz. This transceiver solution combines a mixer (TMC178), a GaN amplifier (TMC169) and a front-end module (TMC252). It delivers an EIRP of +63 dBi with a transmit gain of 25 dB and an output power (Tx) of 37 dBm. On the Rx side it provides a gain of 25 dB with a noise figure of 3.5 dB.
The TMC178169252 is designed for fixed wireless access (FWA) systems, offering two solutions that combine high power (EIRP) and high linearity to enable high data rates for broadband internet access. It supports full-duplex TDD operation, with switches on both the antenna and mixer sides. The transceiver also has an inbuilt power detector and requires a bias voltage of +23, +6, +3, or –4 V. It is available in a 20-Pin QFN package that measures 5 x 5 mm.
