The PTRAN-100M18G-SDLVA-2SFB-3UVPX-P4-MAH from Planar Monolithics Industries is a SOSA-Aligned Microwave Transceiver that operates from 100 MHz to 18 GHz. It fits into a 3U Open VPX form factor utilizing a high-speed VITA 67 connector. The transceiver up-converts a Tx signal from 100 MHz – 4 GHz to 2 GHz – 18 GHz range and down-converts an Rx signal from 100 MHz – 18 GHz to 100 MHz – 4 GHz for analog to digital conversion. The transceiver input has an integrated CW immune Logarithmic Amplifier offering 70 dB of dynamic range. In the Rx path, it has an Rx filter bank that includes a 2-way absorptive switch to select an input, along with two 6-way switches allowing one of six filter paths to be chosen. A second Rx switching filter bank provides an additional five filter paths. In the Tx path, two filter banks are used with two six-way switches allowing one of six filter paths to be chosen in the first, and an additional five filter paths are included in the second.

The transceiver requires a DC supply of +3.3/+5/±12 V and draws less than 2 A of current. It is available in a 3U Open VPX form factor with VITA 67 connectors and can be attached to an FPGA card allowing for a total solution. This transceiver is suitable for EW applications.
