The Si4455 from Silabs is a low current sub-GHz EZRadio transceiver that operates from 284 MHz to 960 MHz. It provides an output power of 13 dBm with a sensitivity of -116 dBm and data rate of 500 kbps. It has a low current consumption of 18 mA TX (at 10 dBm), 10 mA RX and 40 nA standby and requires a supply of 1.8 to 3.6 V. It is available in a 20-pin QFN package that measures 3 mm x 3 mm with a low external BOM count. The Si4455 combines plug-and-play simplicity with the flexibility needed to handle a wide variety of applications. Some applications where this transceiver can be used are Remote controls, Home security, Garage openers, keyless entry, home automation and industrial control.
