The mTTS-100-1 from Curtiss-Wright is an S-band Airborne Multimode Transmitter. It has a modern mechanical design that uses GaN RF device technology to deliver an output power of 5 W over the full S-band frequency range. This transmitter features advanced thermal management for high-temperature operation, without limiting RF performance when transmitting secure streaming telemetry. This embedded transmitter can be used for MnACQ, McDAU, and MDW-2020 data acquisition stacks with or without data encryption module capability. This transmitter supports PCM/FM (from 128 kbps to 20 Mbps), SOQPSK and Multi-H CPM (from 640 kbps to 40 Mbps) modulation schemes.
The mTTS-100-1 is IRIG-106 compatible with user programmability for centre frequency and modulation options with a high-efficiency power amplifier chain. With the integrated ARTM and IRIG-106 compliant modulator and power amplifier, this embedded solution reduces interconnect lengths, minimizes EMI exposure, and simplifies wiring installation while reducing size, weight and power. It is field-configurable with single-point programming, making telemetry configuration extremely flexible and quickly reactive to development challenges. The transmitter includes RS-422 and RS-232 data interfaces and is ideal for use in missile performance testing, flight test instrumentation, RPV communications and launch vehicle applications.
