The TTS-9610 Series from Curtiss Wright are Multimode RF Transmitters that operate from 1435 to 1535 MHz. They combine programmable power features with a highly reliable design to provide a flexible and dependable solution, which ensures that critical data is transmitted efficiently from air to ground on every test flight. These transmitters provide modulation compatibility to IRIG-106-23, and allow users to customize center frequency (in 0.5 MHz steps) and modulation options. They also include a pre-modulation filter to enhance signal reception along with a high-efficiency power amplifier chain. These multimode transmitters deliver a data rate from 80 kbps to 20 Mbps (PCM/FM modulation) and 160 kbps to 40 Mbps (other modulation formats).
The TTS-9610 supports PCM/FM, SOQPSK, and multi-H CPM modulation schemes along with LDPC linear error correction algorithms to optimize the accuracy of data transmitted and received over noisy channels. They are equipped with internal status indicators for temperature and frequency monitoring. These transmitters can be controlled via the RS-232 interface and use a TTL logic or RS-422 interface for data transmission. They deliver an output power of more than 20 W. These L-Band transmitters require a DC supply of +28 V or ±4 V and consume less than 4 A of current.
The TTS-9610 Series transmitters are available in compact rugged modules that measure 2.5 x 3.5 x 1.0 inches and have an SMA (female) connector and an MDM-15P connector. These systems are ideal for commercial aircraft flight test, RPV communications, remote ground communications, and flight test instrumentation applications.
