The CSS-905A from L3Harris is an Airborne Transmitter that is ideal for missiles, aircraft, UAVs and munitions. It has a frequency range from 2200 to 2400 MHz, which can be adjusted in 0.5 MHz steps. This telemetry transmitter has a proven transmitter design, which can operate in high-shock, vibration and acceleration environments to support the most challenging requirements. It can withstand 100 Gs of shock and acceleration and is IRIG and MIL-STD-461 EMI compliant, with RF output filtering to protect co-located GPS and FTR subsystems. This transmitter can be factory set or user-configured over a range of operating parameters, including RF output power (from 2 to 10 W), frequency selection, input data rates, and Advanced Range Telemetry (ARTM) Tier 0, I and II modulations.
The CSS-905A requires a DC supply of 21 to 36 V and consumes less than 1.3 A of current. Its flight history reduces selection and system design risks and provides opportunities for qualification-by-similarity (QBS) analysis. This transmitter is available in a miniature enclosure that measures 3.0 x 2.0 x 0.8 inches with an operating temperature range of -54°C to + 95°C and supports a full range of qualification testing by the most demanding programs.
