The T4NM-FDC0 from Elatec is an LF/HF/NFC RFID Reader/Writer Module that operates at a frequency of 125 kHz (LF) and 13.56 MHz (HF). It has onboard 18 kB flash storage for storing user-accessible non-volatile data and supports direct chip commands. This RFID module allows users to read and write to almost any 125 kHz and 13.56 MHz tags and/or labels. It is designed for integration into machines or other devices and can be connected to an external antenna through a printed circuit board. The module requires a DC supply of 3.3 V (direct supply) or 4.3 – 5.5 V (using an onboard voltage regulator) and consumes 120 mA of current in active mode and 500 μA of current in sleep mode. It is suitable for use in smaller battery-powered consumer devices like tablet PCs, POS terminals, mobile payment systems, etc.
The T4NM-FDC0 supports all major transponders from various suppliers like ATMEL, EM, ST, NXP, TI, HID, LEGIC, etc., and ISO standards like ISO 14443A/B (T=CL), ISO 15693, ISO 18092/ECMA-340 (NFC). It supports connection of external ISO 7816 compatible SAM cards, CCID, PCSC 2.01, and quick reconfiguration over network and wireless interface with TWN4 CONFIG card. This RFID module can be controlled via USB, serial, I2C, SPI, and GPIO interfaces. It is available in an SMT package that measures 31.0 x 17.8 x 2.7 mm with edge-plated pads for easy and reliable PCB mounting.
