The ThinkMagic M3e from Jadak is an HF (13.56 MHz) and LF (125/134.2 kHz) RFID module. It is an integrated secure access module with an IC that handles secure communications and manages security keys. This module supports all HF/LF RFID protocols and has the flexibility to read both HF and LF ID cards to authenticate them. It can drive high gain HF and LF antennas to achieve extended read range and is pre-certified for these high gain antennas.
The module requires a DC supply of 3-5.5 V and can be controlled via UART (TTL), I2C, and SPI interfaces. It is HID enabled which ensures that encrypted iClass badges can be read when the facility is ready making this module future-proof. The module also provides unique RFID security key management that enables an added level of security. It is available in a surface-mount package that measures 26 x 22 x 3 mm and is ideal for nurse’s carts, med dispensing & pharmacy, anesthesia carts, patient monitoring, blood tracking, inventory cabinets, infusion pumps, pneumatic systems transport, ultrasound machines, and POC / IVD analyzers applications.
