The AWMA-5000C series from Advantech Wireless are the outdoor, weatherproof solid-state power amplifiers (SSPAs) that operate in the C-Band. The weatherproof amplifier is an integrated unit, complete with power supply and cooling system. It delivers a gain of more than 64 dB with an output power from 20 watts to 500 watts. The SSPAs are designed for C-Band satellite up-link applications and are mounted outdoors, near the hub of an antenna. They are available in a system that measures 30 x 16 x 11 inches with N-type female connectors. For higher power phase-combined systems are also available.
With the addition of the appropriate waveguide and switch kit, the AWMA-5000C amplifiers can be easily converted for the operation in a 1:1 redundant configuration with full remote Monitor and Control capability of the redundant system via serial interface. A single Monitor and Control interface is required to manage redundant system.
