The SPCM6250R from Communications & Power Industries is a Solid-State Power Amplifier that operates from 5.850 to 6.725 GHz. It delivers a saturated output power of 250 W (~ +54 dBm) with a gain of more than 70 dB and has a gain adjustment range of 20 dB in 0.1 dB steps. The SSPA is based on a modular architecture and includes an RF module, power supply, logic circuits, cooling fans, and a front panel assembly. It consists of built-in forward and reflected power monitoring blocks to monitor the input power and lost power in the circuit.
The SPCM6250R uses serial interfaces such as RS-232, RS-422, and RS-485 to remotely monitor and control various parameters such as VSWR, power, voltage, current, and noise. It requires an AC supply of 90-135 V and consumes less than 1200 W of power. This SSPA is available as a rack-mount enclosure that measures 178 x 483 x 610 mm and has an N-type (female) input connector and CPR137G output waveguide interface. It is ideal for redundant systems (1:1, 1:2), fixed installations, mobile terminals, and commercial, government, and military applications.
