The XTD-250QVE from Comtech Xicom Technology is a V-Band Antenna Mount TWT Amplifier that operates from 47.2 to 52.4 GHz. This self-contained antenna mount power amplifier has been designed for low cost installation and long life operation. It delivers a peak TWT output power of 250 W (54.0 dBm) and a linear output power of 80 W (49.0 dBm). This amplifier provides over 60 dB of gain and has a continuous attenuation range of 20 dB. It has a slope of ± 0.02 dB/MHz and stability of ± 0.25 dB over a 24 hour period. The amplifier has noise power of -70 dBW/4 kHz (transmit band) & -150 dBW/4Hz (receive band) and a noise power ratio of 19 dBc at PLINEAR. It has a maximum phase noise of 15 dB and an input/output VSWR of 1.3:1. This amplifier can be controlled via an RS-422/485, Ethernet Interface.
The outdoor amplifier unit is liquid cooled instead of air-cooled, offering users ambient noise reduction, reduced heat load in hubs, and superior gain stability over temperature. Air conditioning in the hub is also simplified or eliminated.
The amplifiers feature high RF efficiency which enables a smaller, lighter amplifier with the ability to operate at up to 60 degrees C ambient temperatures.
The XTD-250QVE requires an AC supply of 100-260 V and consumes 1100 W of power. It is available as a benchtop module that measures 50.8 x 26.19 x 27.94 cm and is ideal for uplink applications.
