The XTRT-750C from Comtech Xicom Technology is a C-Band TWT Power Amplifier that operates from 5.850 to 6.425 GHz. It delivers a Traveling Wave Tube (TWT) output power of 750 W with a large signal gain of more than 70 dB and a small signal gain of 75 dB. This amplifier incorporates high-efficiency, dual-stage collector TWTs and has integrated RF gain control, a solid-state pre-amplifier, RF filters, cooling, and monitoring and control (M&C) systems. The reliability of this amplifier is enhanced because both prime power consumption and internal operating temperatures are reduced for both the linear and saturated modes of operation.
The XTRT-750C can be controlled manually via a touchscreen front panel and remotely via an Ethernet interface. The display shows HPA status, parameter trend analysis, and event logs, and remote diagnostics can be easily performed via the Ethernet interface. Also, because the display can show and control waveguide switches or a combiner, the need for separate external controllers is eliminated for common architectures. It is available in a rack mount enclosure that measures 60.95 x 48.26 x 17.70 cm and is ideal for fixed and mobile uplink applications. This amplifier requires an AC supply of 180-260 V and consumes less than 2450 W of power.
