The STA-5575P-KA6ZN from SpacePath Communications is a Ka-band Travelling Wave Tube Amplifier (TWTA). It delivers an output power of up to 750 W and is ideal for military and high throughput satellite (HTS) applications. This amplifier uses an innovative design that incorporates SpacePath’s unique carbon fin air-cooling heat sink that has similar thermal properties to copper. This cooling method allows the amplifier to be smaller and lighter than comparable amplifiers as carbon is approximately half the weight of equivalent cooling systems. It has removable and washable air intake filters, metric and imperial mounting threads and includes system interfaces for plug-n-play compatibility. This TWTA is ideal for mission-critical applications in HTS, mobile satellites, fixed-earth stations, and military satellite communications.
