The Sling Blade from Get SAT is an Electronically Steerable Antenna (ESA) that operates in the Ka-band with a Tx frequency range of 27.5-31 GHz and an Rx frequency range of 17.7-21.2 GHz. This antenna has an electronically configurable circular polarization and can deliver an EIRP of up to 46 dBW. It has an azimuthal beamwidth from 360° (omni-directional) and an electronically steerable elevation beamwidth from 10 to 90°. The antenna supports transmit & receive for any GEO/MEO/LEO satellites, enabling switches from GEO to LEO satellites in milliseconds and seamless satellite coverage.
The Sling Blade is available in two versions: the Micro Sling Blade Ka and the Milli Sling Blade Ka with the differentiating factors being gain-to-noise-temperature, power consumption, and size. It has an initial acquisition time of below 30 s and a re-acquisition time of less than 100 ms. The antenna requires a supply voltage of 24-56 V and consumes 450/630 W of power, depending on the configuration.
The antenna is available in an enclosure that measures either 60 x 7 x 56 cm or 60 x 7 x 84 cm with RS-232 and ethernet Tx/Rx interfaces. It has no moving parts and requires no calibration, providing long-term reliability and lower maintenance costs. The Sling Blade is ideal for use in the land & maritime industry, oil & gas industry, commercial communications, civil infrastructure, enterprise, and road as well as rail transport applications.
