The FA-180/300 from Ultra Intelligence and Communications is a 1.8 m Flyaway Antenna for Multi-Band Transmissions. This antenna supports Tx bands from 27.5 to 31 GHz and Rx bands from 17.7 to 22.2 GHz. It is designed specifically for applications that require a compact and rugged antenna which is rapidly deployable with no tools. The antenna includes a multi-segmented carbon fiber honeycomb reflector that is lightweight and offers maximum strength with no deformation, even after being re-assembled multiple times. It has an axially symmetric design with a prime focus feed to make the packed size of the antenna smaller than any other comparable product of similar gain. This also means that, unlike offset-fed designs, each antenna petal is identical which allows simple replacement in case of damage.
The FA-180/300 provides a transmit/receive gain of up to 52.8 dBi and has a VSWR of 1.3:1. It allows an azimuth adjustment of ±180°, an elevation adjustment from 0 to 90° and a polarization adjustment of ±95°. This linearly polarized antenna has a cross-polarization of 35 dB and a port-to-port isolation of 40 dB. It has a unique multi-band feed arm that allows quick changing of the frequency band by simply swapping out a quick-release feed cartridge. It can operate over AC/DC power supply and has a Tx power of up to 1.5 kW. The antenna features fully adjustable, wide-spreading legs for high stability on any terrain. It can be fully motorized when combined with Ultra’s GigaSat STC-100 antenna controller. This antenna is Intelsat/Eutelsat compliant for commercial bands and SkyNet and MIL-STD-810G certified.
