The AM-9446 Series from Amplus Communication are high performance Ku-band Transceivers designed for use in SCPC, DAMA and TDMA VSAT satellite earth stations. They operate from 13.75 to 14.50 GHz (Tx) and 10.95 to 12.75 GHz (Rx). In the Tx mode, they provide an output power (P1dB) of 100 W with a gain of 70 dB and gain adjustment of 25 dB in 0.5 dB steps. In Rx mode (with LNB), they provide a gain of 60 dB and have a noise temperature of 75K (at 25°C).
They are ideally suited for wide area telephony, video conferencing and data communications systems. The transceiver is designed for direct mounting on a wide range of earth station antennas. They are environmentally sealed for outdoor operation. The transceivers are based on field-proven, high-reliability microwave components with innovative, patent-pending packaging techniques and intelligent digital control for high performance in a low-cost space-saving design.
The AM-9446 Series transceivers have tricolor LED lights that indicate the transceiver status. They can be controlled via a PC using RS-232/485 interfaces, a modem with an FSK interface or a hand-held terminal with RS-232 interface. These transceivers are available in weather-protected IP65-rated housings that measure 355 x 205 x 175 mm with N-type, F-type and CPR-75G interfaces. They require an AC supply of 110/230 V or a DC supply of 48 V and consume less than 1000 W of power.
