The TR300 from ReliaSat is a Standalone SATCOM Transceiver Module. On the Tx side, it converts input frequencies from 1-5 GHz to 17-21 GHz with a saturated output power of 27 dBm and a gain of up to 43 dB. On the Rx side, it converts input frequencies from 27-30 GHz to 1-4 GHz with a gain of up to 35 dB and has a noise figure of less than 2.5 dB.
The transceiver consists of on-board synthesizers with the ability to lock on to an external or on-board 10 MHz or 100 MHz signal reference. This SATCOM module uses high-precision, low-power TCXOs to generate reference signals with a frequency stability of ±0.28 ppm. This transceiver module operates as a wideband up/down converter when combined with a modem/software-defined radio (SDR) to enable a fully functional Ka-Band satellite communication systems for use in low earth orbits (LEO).
The TR300 requires a DC supply of 7-42 V (Tx and Rx) and consumes less than 11.5 W (Tx) and 6 W (Rx) of power. It is available in a module that measures 96 x 91 x 38 mm and has SMPM connectors.
