The PSLE-140-36D from Polaris is a Satellite Link Emulator that provides simulation of propagation delay, path loss, and Doppler frequency shift for closed loop testing of satellites and earth station terminals. It is available in an enclosure that measures 19.00 x 5.25 x 21.00 inches with RS-422/RS-485 interface and is suitable for applications such as satellite modem test, VSAT test, satellite payload test, UAV test, Earth terminal test, satellite system integration test bed and mobile transceiver test.
The Satellite Link Emulator operates from 122 to 158 MHz and delivers an output power of up to -10 dBm. It has an attenuation from 0 to -40 dB with 0.5 dB resolution. The emulator features a 14-bit ADC for excellent SNR, has spurious level of under -45 dBc and a noise floor of ≤ -125dBc. It has a Doppler frequency shift range from -3 MHz to +3 MHz with 1 Hz resolution.
