The RI 181 from Ranatec is an Rack-Mountable RF Shield Box that operates from 0.7 to 6 GHz. It has been designed to provide a high degree of shielding from all cellular mobile frequency bands (2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G), Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth. This shield box has an inner dimension of 400 x 300 x 85 mm, provides an attenuation of more than 60 dB (at 3 GHz), and can block all wireless signals from various cellular and WLAN devices in its vicinity. It has been developed for rack-mounted test systems where the device under test (DUT) is frequently replaced. The shielded box is optimized for maximum space efficiency and minimizes the non-usable space in height. It integrates an eject function and has a front handle that allows for a convenient one-hand open-and-close operation.
The RI 181 has multiple electrical communication interfaces such as single/dual USB 2.0, LAN (1 Gbps/10 Gbps), HDMI, and USB 3.2 C (20 Gbps) located on the interface plate at the rear end. It also includes an option for integrating connectors at the interface plate. The shielding box is available in a 2U-19” rack-mount enclosure that measures 490 x 490 x 88 mm with SMA (female) connectors and is ideal for WLAN/Bluetooth/Zigbee/WiMAX device test, base station transceiver test, wireless semiconductor test, cellular network, and mobile phone testing applications.
