The 1219E-18A from ACST GmbH is a THz Signal Frequency Extender that upconverts input frequencies from 12.22 - 18.33 GHz to 220 - 330 GHz (multiplication factor of 18). This extender has a modular design that allows users to have access to more than one band by combining multiple standard extenders. It delivers an output power of 4 dBm and has a mechanically-driven variable attenuator to control the output power. This frequency extender is designed to extend the operating frequency of a microwave signal synthesizer or a sweeper, providing high-performance sources for mmWave applications. It utilizes ERZIA’s high-power broadband amplifier technology and ACST’s high-power broadband multiplier technology to deliver the desired output power, multiplication factor, bandwidth, and spectral purity.
The 1219E-18A is available in a module that measures 140 x 90 x 200 mm and has SMA input connector with WR-3.4 waveguide output interface. It can be ordered with an optional horn antenna for coupling the output signal to free space. This Frequency extender is ideal for laboratory instrumentation, mmWave FMCW radar, LO source for mm/sub-mmWave heterodyne receivers, and active imaging applications.
The 1219E-18A has a universal AC/DC adapter for power supply.
