The N5183BMXG is a series of microwave analog signal generators that operate from 9 kHz to 13, 20, 31.8 or 40 GHz. This series is an alternative to the high-performance and more expensive PSG series of Analyzers from Agilent. The MXG has an output power of 20 dBm at 20 GHz and has a high accuracy, efficiency and near-PSG performance in just two rack units. It has a phase noise of less than -124 dBc/Hz (at 10 GHz, 10 kHz offset) and -75 dBc spurious enables module- and system-level testing up to 40 GHz. It also supports continuous-wave (CW) blocking for receiver testing or basic local-oscillator up-conversion for point-to-point microwave backhaul links.
