The APMSXXG from AnaPico is a phase coherent multi-output signal generator that operates from 300 kHz to 6, 12, 20, 33 and 40 GHz. It has fast swiching speed of 30 µs and a low phase noise -141 dBc/Hz at 100 kHz. The generator can be phase locked to an external 10, 100 or 1000 MHz reference. The system has up to 8 independent outputs and provides excellent frequency accuracy and stability. It is available in a standard 19 inch 1U (up to 4 channels) or 3U (4 to 8 channels) enclosure and has various control interfaces like USB, LAN, or GPIB. Each interface allows easy and fast communication using SCPI 1999 command set. Remote control of the instrument can be quickly attained from any host system. The signal generator can be controlled via an API and has programming examples for Matlab, Labview, C++, and other commercially available tools.
