The APVSGXX from AnaPico are Single/Multi-Channel Vector Signal Generators with a frequency range from 10 MHz to 40 GHz. They are available with up to 4 channels, deliver an output power from +13 to +19 dBm, and have an SSB phase noise of -115 dBc/Hz (at 20 kHz offset, 20 GHz frequency). These signal generators have an RF modulation bandwidth of 400 MHz and an image sideband rejection of -85 dBc. They utilize an internal I/Q modulator to enable customized waveforms as modulation signals and support a variety of modulation schemes including avionics modulation. The digital I/Q modulator ensures excellent carrier suppression and very high image suppression. These generators operate with an ultra-stable temperature-compensated frequency reference (OCXO) that can be phase-locked to an external reference.
The APVSGXX signal generators have a frequency & amplitude switching time of less than 1.5 ms, a frequency resolution of 0.001 Hz, and a phase resolution of 0.01°. They enable ultra-fast CW frequency sweeping, chirping, intra-pulse modulation, and pulse shaping with very low phase noise. These generators require a DC supply of 24 V and consume less than 65 W of power. They can be controlled manually via a touch display and remotely via Ethernet 100BaseT LAN, USB 2.0 Device, and GPIB (IEEE-488.2,1987) interfaces. The generators are available in housings that measure 305 x 182 x 124 mm (single-channel portable/benchtop) or 567 x 444 x 88 mm (multi-channel rack-mountable) with multiple coaxial connector options.
