The SGX1000 Series from Boonton are RF Signal Generators that operate from 10 MHz to 6 GHz. They deliver an output power from -50 dBm to +18 dBm with a power resolution of 0.01 dB and have a frequency step size of 0.001 Hz. These signal generators utilize a unique non-phase locked loop (PLL) design with a digital front-end and direct, proprietary back-end. They have jitter of less than 100 fs and a phase noise of 122 dBc/Hz (at 10 kHz offset).
The SGX1000 Series signal generators are equipped with USB, Ethernet, and GPIB interfaces for remote control. They also have a multi-touch display with an intuitive user interface to enable easy configuration of the parameters such as power level and frequency. These signal generators require an AC supply from 90 to 264 V and consumes 30 W of power. They are available in enclosures that measure 3.5 x 8.3 x 11.2 inches and have N-type (female) connectors.
