The SC5510A from SignalCore is a PXI based high-performance synthesized signal source that can generate signals from 100 MHz to 20 GHz. It has a low phase noise output of -115 dBc/Hz at 10kHz offset from a 10 GHz carrier, a 1 Hz tuning resolution, and an amplitude step resolution of 0.01 dB over a -30 dBm to +10 dBm output range. The use of a unique multiple phase-locked loop architecture, phase spurs are kept below -65 dBc across the entire tuning range, even at 1 Hz step resolution.
This signal source has an additional, independent additional RF channel with a tunable frequency range from 100 MHz to 3 GHz and a tuning resolution of 25 MHz. This extra channel makes the module suitable for either single-stage RF conversion systems or dual-stage image suppression up/down converter systems. It is available in a module that measures 0.8 x 5.1 x 7.2 and has a 3 year warranty. This signal source is ideal choice as an integrated clock source for fast DAC and ADC applications, especially those that require variable sampling rates.
