The LMS-183DX from Vaunix is a USB Programmable Signal Generator that operates from 6 to 18 GHz with a resolution of 100 Hz and switching time of 100 microseconds. The signal generator provides calibrated power control from -70 dBm to 10 dBm (80 dB dynamic range) in 0.5 dB steps.
This device has a phase noise of better than -140 dBc/Hz at 6 GHz, spurious lower than -70 dBc and harmonics less than -40 dBc. The signal generator is powered and controlled by a USB connection to a PC or self-powered hub, and can be programmed from a graphical user interface (GUI) software, or SDK provided by Vaunix.
It is easily programmable for fixed frequency operation, unidirectional or bidirectional frequency sweep and pulse modulation directly from the included Graphical User Interface (GUI). This device is available in a compact module that measures 4.90 x 3.14 x 1.59 inches with SMA female connectors and is ideal for Automated Test Equipment (ATE), Engineering/Production Test Labs and radar receiver system applications.
