Software Defined Radio (SDR) Image

The Flexible Software Defined Radio from Blue Canyon operates from 2.2 - 2.3 GHz / 8 - 8.5 GHz (downlink) and 1.76 - 1.84 GHz / 2.025 - 2.110 GHz (uplink). It has a bandwidth of up to 50 MHz and provides an adjustable output power of 2 W. This radio supports BPSK, OQPSK, DVB-S2 downlink modulation schemes, and BPSK uplink modulation schemes. The radio combines tunable transmitter and receiver functionality into one compact design and is ideal for small satellites that require data rates of up to 100 Mbps. It requires a DC supply from 9 to 34 V and consumes less than 26 W of power.

This radio is compatible with Type-1 encryption modules such as the KI-55 and can support AES-256 GCM software encryption natively. It is designed for interoperability with industry-standard ground networks such as KSAT, SSC, AFSCN, and NEN. The SDR is available in an enclosure that measures 3.20 x 3.15 x 0.88 inches.
