The SDR-2104 from CesiumAstro is a Software-Defined Radio (SDR) that operates from 600 to 1200 MHz. This radio consists of four 1.2 GHz Tx-Rx channels, and a large FPGA that provides functionalities for modem and other baseband processing. It supports TDD and FDD operation for communication and achieves multi-Gigabit/s data rates, depending on the selected DVB-S2(X) modulation and coding scheme. This SDR supports a range of modulation schemes such as DVB-S2, DVB-S2X, BPSK, QPSK, and CCSDS, providing flexibility for various applications.
The SDR-2104 consists of other features such as on-board telemetry sensing, card-to-card LO and timing synchronization, and direction finding. It also includes an FPGA development kit that allows users to customize their waveforms. This SDR is available in a ruggedized VITA 78, 3U SpaceVPX enclosure that measures 160 x 100 x 25 mm and is ideal for airborne, LEO, GEO, lunar, and other deep-space applications. It complies with NASA GSFC-STD-7000 standards.
