The Sentry Mesh 6161 from Domo Tactical (DTC) is a Personal Software Defined Radio (SDR) that supports MeshUltra™ MANET waveforms over a frequency range of 1.2 to 1.7 GHz (L band). It delivers a data rate of up to 87 Mbps and has various bandwidth values ranging from 1.25 to 20 MHz over 2 channels delivering a programmable output power of up to 1 W per channel (2 W total). This SDR can handle up to 144 nodes and supports CODEC2 Vocoder.
The Sentry Mesh 6161 optimizes the use of available channel bandwidth through a “Token Passing” technology, which avoids collisions and provides a bound, predictable data packet latency. Its wider bandwidth together with superior RF performance and an optional Interference Avoidance System (IAS) maximizes communication effectiveness in the presence of interference. This radio has a 2x2 MIMO RF architecture to maximize throughput and avoid drop-outs using two independent transmit/receive channels and also offers superior performance in complex environments where multiple obstacles cause signal reflections and cancellation. It also supports multi-channel voice and has a built-in GPS.
The Sentry Mesh 6161 is compliant with MIL-STD-461G, MIL-STD-810H, IEC60529: IP68, and FIPS 140-2 L1 standards. It can operate on a 98 Wh SoloPack Battery for up to 11 hours (with 2x 1 W output) and up to 17 hours (with 2x 0.5 W output). This SDR is available in a compact IP68-rated package that measures 14 x 75 x 29 mm and is ideal for various demanding applications ranging from Public Safety to Unmanned Systems and Covert Operations.
