The NDR325 from Epiq Solutions is a 4-Channel Software-Defined Radio (SDR) Payload that operates from 20 MHz to 6 GHz. It has a 4-channel, super-heterodyne tuner, with each channel providing 500 MHz of instantaneous bandwidth. This radio unit has both independent and phase coherent tuning to support applications such as search, survey, direction finding, and geolocation.
The NDR325 has an on-board Xilinx Zynq UltraScale+ RFSoC which is used for the A/D converters, a channelizer, a VITA-49 formatter, a data multiplexer and multiple lower bandwidth DDCs. This SDRs internal digital IF data is routed to integrated COTS processing using the SMARC module an Intel® Atom™ x7-E3950 1.6 GHz Quad Core Processor, which has a board support package for loading custom software applications. The radio requires a DC supply of +28 V and consumes 67 W of power. It is packaged in a rugged modular payload (Mod Payload) design with a 1U form factor. This conduction cooled packaging provides RF shielding, thermal management, and protection, making the radio suitable for harsh environments.
