The BSWM-8X8ER from Becker Nachrichtentechnik is an 8x8 blocking Switching Matrix that operates from 100 kHz to 8.5 GHz. It offers 8 fully parallel bi-directional signal paths making it suitable for bidirectional point to point links. The matrix can handle an input power of up to +30 dBm and provides high channel isolation to avoid unintended coupling between different types of signals. It uses modern solid-state switching elements which ensure a quick response to operating inputs and huge number of switching cycles with minimum maintenance.
The BSWM-8X8ER can either be controlled remotely via USB and LAN interfaces or locally through the MMI on the front panel. It also offers a Graphical User Interface (GUI) for control and monitoring purpose. The matrix requires an AC supply of 230 V and typically consumes 30 W of power. It is available in an enclosure that measures 482 x 455 x 44 mm with SMA-female connectors and is suitable for modern communication standards like Wi-Fi (6E), ISM and Bluetooth along with other applications such as MIMO test, network investigation, signal routing, R&D, and test equipment.
