The SI-9332 from Leonardo DRS is a 32x32 Switch Matrix that operates from 0.5 to 30 MHz. It allows 32 inputs to be connected to 32 outputs with an isolation of 50 dB between ports. This non-blocking switch matrix automatically attenuates the RF output power when very large RF inputs are applied, and the input circuitry protects from high-voltage transients and nearby lightning strikes. It can handle an RF input power of up to 2 W (for operation) and provides input protection of 10 W (continuous) and 2 kV (pulse). This switch matrix has fully electronic switching, greatly increases system reliability, and provides resistance to vibration by eliminating the use of mechanical relays. It includes Ethernet and RS-232 control interfaces.
The SI-9332 provides compensatory signal amplification, sensing of signal path continuity and gain levels, and setting status registers to indicate error conditions. If a failure occurs, diagnostics can be initiated to quickly localize the fault. It is available in a 1U rack-mountable enclosure that measures 48.30 x 49.50 x 4.45 cm and is designed to meet the MIL-STD-461 EMI/EMC standard. This switch matrix requires an AC supply from 100 to 250 C and consumes less than 130 W of power.
