The ADRF5080 from Analog Devices is a Reflective Silicon SP8T Switch that operates from 100 MHz to 20 GHz. This switch can handle RF input power of up to 33 dBm and has an insertion loss of less than 2.0 dB. It has a rise/fall time of 15 ns, a switching ON/OFF time of 55 ns, and provides up to 50 dB of isolation. This switch requires a dual-supply voltage of +3.3 V and −3.3 V and consumes 220 μA (positive supply) and 580 μA (negative supply) of current. It can also operate with a single-supply voltage (VDD) applied while the negative supply pin (VSS) is tied to the ground. The single-supply operation condition requires a lower operating power while maintaining excellent small signal performance. It uses complementary metal-oxide semiconductor (CMOS)-/low voltage transistor to transistor logic (LVTTL)-compatible controls.
The ADRF5080 is available in an LGA package that measures 5.50 x 5.50 mm and is ideal for test and instrumentation, military radios, radars, electronic countermeasures (ECMs) and microwave radios and very small aperture terminals (VSATs) applications.
