The ADRF5141 from Analog Devices is a Reflective SPDT Switch that operates from 6 to 12 GHz. It is used in transmit and receive applications and has an integrated power limiter on the receive path. In the Rx path, it has a flat leakage of 17 dBm and an insertion loss of 1.4 dB (8 to 11 GHz). In the Tx path, this switch has an insertion loss of 0.9 dB (8 to 11 GHz). It has a switching time of 50 ns and provides isolation of 55 dB between Tx and Rx paths. The switch requires a DC supply of ±3.3 V and consumes less than 360 μA of current. It requires no additional driver circuitry and is an ideal alternative to gallium nitride (GaN) and PIN diode-based switches.
The ADRF5141 uses CMOS/low voltage transistor-to-transistor logic (LVTTL)-compatible controls. It is available in an LGA package that measures 3 x 3 mm and is ideal for X-band communications and radars, electronic warfare, and SATCOM applications.
