The ADMV8416 from Analog Devices is a tunable MMIC band-pass filter with a passband from 7 to 16 GHz. It has a 3 dB filter bandwidth of 15% and the 20 dB filter bandwidth is 37%. The center frequency (fc) of the filter can be tuned between 7 GHz and 16 GHz by applying an analog tuning voltage between 0 V to 15 V. The filter provides a rejection of more than 20 dB above and below the band and has an insertion loss of 8 dB. It is available in a 40-lead LFCSP package that measures 6 x 6 mm and is suitable for test and measurement equipment, military radar, electronic warfare, and video satellite (VSAT) communications applications. This tunable filter can be used as a much smaller alternative to large switched filter banks and cavity tuned filters.
