The AM3152 from Atlanta Micro is a Digitally Tunable Band Pass Filter with a passband from 0.4 to 8 GHz. This device has 3 filter bands (0.4-1.25 GHz, 1-2.5 GHz and 2-8 GHz), each with 256 discrete tune states and has a low-loss filter bypass path at 8 GHz. It has an insertion loss of less than 4.5 dB, provides rejection of over 50 dB, and requires a DC supply of 3.3 to 5 V for operation. This filter acts as an excellent front-end for a receiver providing both low insertion loss and valuable flexibility for tuning to the required center frequency and bandwidth. Its small size, weight, and power consumption make it an attractive choice for applications requiring low SWaP components. This filter is available in a 6 mm QFN package.
