The ADRF6780 is a microwave upconvertor with an output frequency of 5.9 to 23.6 GHz and input ID frequency from 0.8 GHz to 3.5 GHz. This wideband microwave up-converter has been optimized for point to point microwave radio designs, radars and electronic warfare systems. It provides an output power (P1dB) up to 12 dBm and offers two modes of frequency translation – direct conversion from baseband IQ to RF and single sideband (SSB) upconversion from real IF. It has serial port interface (SPI) that allows tweaking of the quadrature phase adjustment to allow optimum sideband suppression and also allows powering down the output power detector to reduce power consumption when power monitoring is not necessary. The device is available in a compact, thermally enhanced, 5 mm × 5 mm LFCSP package.
