SC5405A Image

The SC5405A from SignalCore is a Triple-Stage Upconverter with an output frequency from 1 MHz to 3.9 GHz. Designed to convert low-frequency broadband IF signals to higher RF signals, this superheterodyne upconverter has 3rd order linearity and noise performance that rival direct-conversion device, but without image and in-band LO leakages inherent to them. When paired with a SignalCore downconverter, the pair may form a frequency re-allocator that would receive information on one band and transmit the same information on another.

The up-converter has a low residual phase noise of less than -107 dBc/Hz at 10 kHz offset and an output level from -100 to 17 dBm. It has a dynamic range of over 150 dBc and an LO leakage of less than 90 dBc. The device is available in a 3U, 2-slot PXIe/cPCIe form factor that measures 1.6 x 5.2 x 8.4 inches with SMA female I/O connectors and a PXIe communication interface.

The module is available with full implementation instructions, GUI, driver software, and example code are provided with each module.
