The NA5202A from Keysight is a Vector Network Analyzer that operates from 10 MHz to 26.5 GHz. It can deliver precise linear and nonlinear measurements with advanced error correction and simplifies frequency-translating component testing. This VNA leverages preselection filters built into the integrated low-noise receivers to improve dynamic range and has a highly configurable test set architecture. It has a dynamic range of 85 to 141 dB and a phase noise of less than -154 dBc/Hz. This VNA has a receiver noise figure of 14 to 26 dB, harmonics of less than -84 dBc, and spurious levels of less than -81 dBc.
The NA5202A consists of four ultra-low phase noise and harmonic signal sources, two low-noise receivers, and two combiners in a single test setup. These low-noise receivers and signal combiners eliminate the need for external signal generators and switches in the test setup during noise figure and intermodulation distortion (IMD) measurements. It also has switchable front-panel loops on the source path and direct receiver access to reduce the cabling required for complex high-power testing and the associated signal power losses.
The NA5202A can be controlled via USB, USB-C, and 100GBASE-T Ethernet interfaces and has a 12.1-inch diagonal color active matrix LCD display. It is available in a benchtop module that measures 282 x 573 x 629 mm and has 3.5 mm male, 2.4 mm male, BNC female, and SMA female connectors. This VNA is ideal for testing of complex active components like frequency converters and differential amplifiers.
