The SAILOR 1000 XTR GX-R2 from Cobham is a VSAT System that operates from 17.7 to 20.2 GHz (Rx) and 27.5 to 30 GHz (Tx) covering the Ka-Band. This antenna system has a circular (LHCP, RHCP) polarization and an Inmarsat GX-R2 transceiver LNB. It has a 103 cm (40.6 inches) reflector with a ring-focus reflector system and also supports 3-axis stabilization. This antenna system supports dual-polarisation and a wide-band Ka making it compatible with Inmarsat’s future GX satellite constellation. It is suitable for business applications, vessel operations, and crew welfare, in any maritime environment. The VSAT system can be controlled remotely via an Ethernet interface.
The SAILOR 1000 XTR GX-R2 has integrated GNSS that supports GPS, GLONASS, and BeiDou constellations. It also features sophisticated Tracking Receiver technology to ensure fast satellite acquisition at start-up and after blockages caused by atmospheric conditions and vessel superstructure. This antenna system utilizes sophisticated Rapid Deployment Technology which is a combination of mechanical and software elements such as a true one-cable solution, Dynamic Motor Brakes, the XTR Installation Wizard, etc. and enables quick and trouble-free deployments. It is available with an XTR Antenna System Control Module located inside the Above Deck Unit (ADU) with a processor that enables new modular star network component topology, deep self-diagnostics capabilities, and extended, highly secure remote access optimizing operation and management of the antennas.
This VSAT system is available in two EIRP options: 4.5 W and 9 W. It requires an AC supply from 100 to 240 V.
