The 511H from MI-WAVE is a Programmable Rotary Vane Waveguide Attenuator that operates from 170 to 260 GHz. It has an attenuation range from 0 to 70 dB with a resolution of 0.01 dB and takes less than 2 s to change the attenuation level. This attenuator can handle an input power of 0.1 W and has an insertion loss of less than 3 dB. The attenuator requires a DC supply of 24 V and has a shutdown safety feature in the event of Hall effect sensor failure.

The 511H can be controlled manually via a front panel or remotely via a standard IEEE-488 or USB interface. It is available in an enclosure and has a WR4 waveguide interface. This attenuator is ideal for use in fade margin testing of microwave radios and radio equipment, remote control of RF power levels, and instrumentation applications.
