The QAL Series from QuinStar Technology are Level Set Attenuators that are available in seven waveguide bands from 18 to 110 GHz. They can handle an input power of up to 1 W, provide attenuation levels from 0 to 25 dB, and have an insertion loss of less than 1.3 dB. These attenuators are fabricated using a straight waveguide section and have an integrated micrometer that enables fine and repeatable adjustments with a quick reset. These attenuators incorporate a lossy material, allowing them to exhibit constant operating characteristics over full waveguide bandwidths. These variable attenuators are available in flange-mount packages that measure 4.00 x 3.70 x 0.88 inches and are available in WR-5, WR-6, WR-8, WR-10, WR-12, WR-15, WR-19, WR-22, WR-28, and WR-42 waveguide sizes.
