The WR284 from Scientific Microwave Corporation is an 8-way Power Combiner Assembly that operates from 2.6 to 3.95 GHz. It has an innovative design that eliminates the need for small gaps near the feeder line allowing it to achieve both high-power handling and full-band operation. This combiner has an insertion loss of 1 dB and a combining loss of less than 0.3 dB. It can handle peak input power levels of more than 450 kW with a VSWR of 1.50:1. This radial combiner has an amplitude balance of ± 0.5 dB and a phase balance of less than ±3°.
The WR284 Combiner Assembly is housed in a radial aluminum 6061 enclosure, with N-type (female) connectors at the input ports and WR284 rectangular cover waveguide interfaces at the output. They are suitable for communication and military radar systems.
