The PCC Series from Ducommun are Crossguide Directional Couplers that operate from 18 to 110 GHz in seven waveguide bands. They provide coupling from 15 to 30 dB with a directivity of 15 dB and have an insertion loss of less than 1 dB. The couplers are typically used for power sampling or frequency monitoring with minimum signal loss on the main transmitting path. The crossguide couplers perform similar system functions with a much shorter insertion length and thus lower insertion loss compared to their counterpart, multi-hole directional couplers. They are suitable for use in test benches, subsystems, and power sampling applications. The couplers are offered in two physical configurations, waveguide, and split block.
