The Hades Series from Filtronic are Active Diplexers that operate in the E-Band from 71 to 76 and 81 to 86 GHz. They can be configured to incorporate a range of GaAs and/or InP amplifiers in both the Tx and Rx chain and include the option to power combine 2 GaAs PAs to deliver market-leading linear Tx powers for long-range terrestrial and non-terrestrial E-Band communications. These diplexers deliver Tx saturated output power of up to 30 dBm and support high linearity 1024QAM modulation. On the Rx side, they provide a small signal gain of 18 dB and have a noise figure of less than 4 dB. They incorporate a Tx RF power detector to facilitate Tx power calibration and ALC. These active diplexers are suitable for use in commercial and military applications and have improved SWAP for airborne ad HAPS applications.

The Hades Series of active diplexers can be used in conjunction with a wide range of commercially available off-the-shelf (COTS) SMT compatible packaged GaAs or SiGe up and down converter solutions to boost performance beyond that achievable with surface mount products. They have the option to be supplied fully calibrated with a Tx detector vs. frequency/power and Rx gain information stored onto an integrated I2C EEPROM. An integrated temperature sensor provides users with accurate amplifier temperature data. They are available in packages that measure 67.0 x 25.0 x 6.7 mm.
